The Pike Road Schools Board of Education (BoE) is excited to announce a ground-breaking ceremony for the highly anticipated new High School on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at approximately 5:30 in the afternoon.
The ceremony for our newest education facility is set to take place on Wallahatchie Road across from the water tower. The BOE is thrilled to be moving forward with this project to support the growth of Pike Road.
With more than 200,000 square feet of planned space, the facility is expected to have more than 50 classrooms for learning and collaboration. Designed to accommodate approximately 1200 students spanning grades 9 through 12, the new high school represents an investment in the future of Pike Road.
Community members and the media are invited to join Superintendent Dr. Keith Lankford, the Pike Road Board of Education, Mayor Gordon Stone, The Pike Road Town Council, and Pike Road students for the groundbreaking ceremony on May 23rd.
